The reality star told Details that the change of cast will bring in “a fresh vibe” to the show, which started in 2013 with Vanderpump, Kristen Doute, Katie Maloney, Tom Sandoval, Stassi Schroeder Scheana Shay and Jax Taylor. Those most likely to be leaving the cast are Maloney, Sandoval and Shay with Lala Kent, Ariana Madix, Tom Schwartz and James Kennedy. Doute and Taylor presently have spinoff series called The Valley, and Schroder is expected to embrace her own Hulu series.
“[We’re] not gonna try and compete with the old Vanderpump Rules ,” Vanderpump said at the opening of her new restaurant Pinky’s by Vanderpump at Flamingo Las Vegas. “Well, it’s not going to be that way here Yeah, it’s gonna be totally different there. However, we will revert back to the set focus on the complications of running a restaurant and the staff members. And that, he says, always has a story to tell.”
As filming with the former cast – in the latest season 11 with Maloney, Sandoval, Madix, Shay, Schwartz, Kennedy and Kent, after Leviss’ ‘Scandoval’ scandal – Vanderpump admitted it was ‘a great pleasure’ to work with them, however, ‘perhaps it was time for something new’ with the reality series, which has become one of Bravo’s most popular.
Well, stories were kind of closing up a little bit.” I think people, they weren’t that shocked that we decided to do this now,” the SUR owner said of the fallout from seasons 10 and 11, adding that she has “grown to love them all.”
“I’ll actually miss the whole group,” Vanderpump, an executive producer for the show as well, added.
In November, Bravo declared that Vanderpump Rules is coming back in the next season with an entirely new crew.
“With Vanderpump as the observant den mother, the West Hollywood staple restaurant SUR– and now TomTom –opens its doors to a new crop of employees replete with lots of drama, sometimes relationships, and definitely enemies,” the network revealed at the time.
In case our dear readers remember, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Shay, Schwartz, Kent and Shay’s husband Brock Davies will be returning to filming for the new season of Vanderpump Rules spinoff The Valley.
As THR pointed out at the time, there’s certainly potential for all of the contestants to return to The Valley, Vanderpump Rules or any other of the many worlds which Bravoverse encompasses.
Alex Baskin, the executive producer of Vanderpump Rules through 32 Flavors said the same thinking that it is a “thrill” to “recreate this series again.”
“While honoring the amazing cast and their incredible run, it’s going to be amazing to see a fresh, new group of coworkers and friends navigate through life and find Cinderella,” Baskin said.
We will see the new season of Vanderpump Rules in 2025 with the show starting to film. The new cast members of big bro are yet to be determined and the time when the show will be premiered.
