The latest pick is an actor who acted in Nolan’s sci-fi motion picture Tenet shot in the year 2020, and he joins other cast members such as Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong’o among others.

Nolan also scripted the movie and is directing it, with Universal Pictures handling the distribution. The studio has planned its release for July 17, 2026.

Each of Nolan’s films is a blank check that comes with even less plot or logline information than is typical of the notoriously reclusive director. This makes sense, as multiple theoretical, even contrasting, specifics have been offered up for the project — a period vampire movie, a helicopter action movie — but sources say none has come close to capturing Nolan’s core concept.

According to sources, the main cast for the feature involves Damon, Holland, Hathaway and now Pattinson. Nyong’o is believed to be in a supporting role while Zendaya in a supporting role too.

The film maker is directing the movie in conjunction with his wife and producing partner Emma Thomas for their Syncopy production company. A shoot in the first half of 2025 is being planned to be happen.

Earnings: Pattinson was last featured in the film Tenet, with John David Washington which was Nolan’s final movie under Warner Bros studio. The movie was released during COVID-19, and there is conflict between the director and his then-longtime official home Warner Bros who wanted to release this to their streaming platform then known as HBO Go. It grossed a mere $58.5m domestically, $365m globally, and severed the professional bond between the actor and Warner Bros.

There are plans for him to come back for Matt Reeves’ sequel and the plan was it could begin shooting sometime next year. Many of those are intact but none of them is near to happening.
